Congratulation with finishing season one! I'm so happy right now :) This finale is one of the best. I think, for me it's like that: season 1, season 3, season 2. Season 4 is a series finale so i'm not counting it (but it's great). About Amanda. So here is what happened. Amanda betrayed Percy not because she is a double agent or wanted a power. She was really hurt by Percy's cold attitude towards herself. So she decided to start her own "game". Amanda freed Alex in order to gain Alex's trust. Now Birkoff. The whole season we saw how he relied on Michael's friendship. He didn't like to kill people, he was scared of Percy. So of course, he chose to save Michael and basically stab Percy in the back. The sad part of the finale is that... I don't know how to spell it right. I'll try though. We started the show with Nikita and Alex as a team, as partners. And Michael was basically an enemy. And what do we have now? Nikita and Michael as a team and Alex as "an enemy". Nikita got Michael but she lost Alex. That's why she was sad at the end. P.S. Nikita's full name is Nikita Mears. But Michael doesn'tt have a surname lol.

By the way, season 2 overall is freaking awesome. I think it's my favourite (the finale is not that great, but the whole season... it's really-really good).
