Ehhh, I wasn't crazy about the silent film gimmick. Maybe without the dialogue cards, if it were just quick cuts between black and white flashback scenes, it would work better for me. But the way the did it, they got rid of all urgency and, as you say, made it a bit comedic, which wasn't the intention at all. As for Brianna and Roger leaving, people keep saying the future is safer, but when I turn on the news, it's actually the 18th century that seems the good old days to me. It's also occured to me that they have no idea what they would be coming back to if they decided to return. They have no way of knowing what happened after they left. For all they know, they could end up in the middle of an apocalypse. At least with travelling to the past you have some way of preparing yourself for what may happen to you.

Such a good episode! Richard Rankin did such a good job showing Rogers trauma without saying a word till the end. The duet of Clementine that Richard and Sophie did was adorable! Now you know why they has Roger singing all the time lol. Also Roger is 8 or 9 years older than Bree.
