Yes, this was the season finale. There's no reason why the Cybermen can't smell, especially the Lone one. Realize that they're actually cyborgs, not robots. Cyborgs have bionic components and free will. I think they were trying to intimate that the Timeless Child actually grew old and died a few times while Tecteun tried to figure out how regeneration worked, not that she killed it. The Time Lord Cybermen, while an interesting idea, don't make sense. First, Cybermen need living organic brains, something a dead Time Lord can't provide. Second, a fully dead Time Lord wouldn't regenerate, therefore making them Cybermen would be pointless, unless they were alive to regenerate, which means the Master never actually killed them and is still lying about everything, and even ignoring all of that, the twelve regenerations would STILL be in effect, therefore they wouldn't be "endlessly regenerating." The Timeless Child (I refuse to refer to it as the Doctor) is from another universe. What I thought the main villain of this season should've been. After a second watching, I definitely think this Timeless Child thing is a mistake and has created far more plot holes than it's solved. I've counted ten plot holes so far, but I won't bore you with them here.
