Jesse is 25 at this point in the show. We actually could hear the wind. Surprising considering most of the background sounds you're worried about also hearing, we never do, so yeah, it must've been some really strong gusts. I felt that Walt lied to Gus because if Walt tells Gus he's at the hospital because of his brother-in-law being shot, Gus would easily be able to trace it to Hank and find out that Walt's related to a DEA agent. Being involved with drugs and also related to law enforcement is a horrible mix and in Walt's mind, would probably lead to Gus ordering his death. Of course, you find out in the next act that Gus knew it all to begin with and therefore knew Walt was lying. Despite the bad things people like Pablo Escobar do, they also do good things as well, and sometimes that's all people choose to remember. He did provide money to the poor in Columbia. Others probably revere him for his essentially taking on the entire government and beating them. Just look at his "prison" sentence. In America, several notorious outlaws throughout history are looked at with fondness today, like Billy the Kid, and their birthplaces and places of death are considered tourist attractions.
