This one store I worked at had a weekly delivery of mops and cleaning towels and five or six carpet mats for the week from a certain company. They would bring in the new supplies, and take back the used mops and towels we would keep in the hamper for them, and replace all the carpet mats for new ones. My understanding was that they would clean and sanitize all that for later repackaging and resupply. They'd give us extra packages of towels or carpets or mops as we needed. So I would guess that laundry business takes care of local restaurants, local hotels/motels, convenience stores, schools, indeed prisons, any sort of business that needs a laundry service, hospitals would have their own procedures and standards and thus their own facilities, I would guess.
