Yeah S6 is wild. This new character is called Sarge. They reveal why he looks like Coulson pretty late in the season.

Coulson’s arc last season is to good to just reverse. It was written as the last season and the writers don’t want to change that. But they also didn’t want to fire Clark Gregg if the show continued. Also just because coulson is dead doesn’t mean we won’t get clever ways of seeing him again.
