The whispers you hear many times were deciphered in the forums, there were audio files uploaded, even in Youtube there might still be videos on them. When Ben's mom appears whispers that sound evil and demonic say "Ben. You are my prisoner, and you are mine." You can also hear in the whispering Ben's mom comforting him. And it sounds like you can hear Ben thinking how scared he is. Also outside the cabin when Locke turns it's like he can hear the whispers saying or screaming his name.
