Going forward (2021) (Patreon)

Hello all, there are some things I've been wanting to discuss regarding my art direction for some time. It's a difficult topic for me, please read if you have time

Starting 2021 I've decided it is in my best interest to put Patreon in a less priority area of my life - there have been many ups and downs regarding Patreon for the years I've had it open. I've learned a lot, made lots of changes, met lots of different patrons and learned what was a realistic amount of work that I could handle. I've realized that struggling to finish a huge work load all month long only to have a similar amount piled on the next day is not very healthy for me! It eventually led to never having any free time for much of anything. I never had time for my community projects that I promised and time for my personal art, projects and offline became very difficult to obtain. This lead to many reward cuts that I felt awful for having to do. It made me feel like I wasn't working fast enough, I kept promising to deliver to the community events and could never find the time because the Patreon rewards took priority over everything else. 

It has been a big source of stress and it took me a long time to accept it was an issue. 

I have a lot of wonderful patrons, many I've even become friends with! Speaking up about this worried me deeply, I did not want anyone to feel like they were an issue for signing on. Getting to deliver gifts to everyone and see their happy reactions is my favorite thing ever, I always wanted to continue doing it. The kindness of my patrons really helped through it all.

I've had my Patreon open for about 3 years now! So much has changed within that time. Now that we're going into 2021 I want to follow this new direction. I haven't been feeling too happy with the style of my full render pieces. I have a lot of new ideas I want to explore, much needed rest to take, for me this is a big step towards that.

Finally... the main question is "What happens now?" - Starting next year I will be pausing more often; this may happen every other month or a few months in a row. The pausing will always be announced prior. Everyone's patience I am beyond grateful for, I cannot thank you all enough for being so kind and supporting me, both new and long-time patrons.

*At this time there are no plans to change any tiers and their rewards will remain. Since more pausing will go into effect, I will take more time to determine the new tier I wanted to add. At this time the new tier may not go live in January.

*The pausing will also affect my secondary Patreon page, having occasional pauses.
