2023 (Patreon)

Hello and happy new year. 

First off I'd like to thank everyone who has supported my patreon during this last year. I can't tell you how much that means to me. Beyond just hearing that you all enjoy my work. It's given me hope going forward, not just professionally but personally, and allowed me to afford medical and mental care I wouldn't otherwise have afforded.

So I can never thank you all enough for that.

As it is the new year I can't help but look back at my journey so far, the mistakes I've made and the ones I want to avoid going into 2023. And I've come to realize perhaps I've spread myself too thin.

Over the last couple of months I'm sure you've noticed I've been sporadic with my posts and missed deadlines. Some others may have noticed or not, I can't say, but for me I felt there has been a dip in quality. And aside from not being able to deliver on promises made, that is the worst feeling in the world to me as a writer.

Going forward I may not take as many commissions as I have been. The prospect of others enjoying my work enough to want me to tell their stories in my own way excited and thrilled me in a way that made the blood sweat and tears seem trivial. 

So for at least the month of Janurary, I'm going to suspend commissioned stories while I get caught up on everything else. I do intend to finish the stories of course if the ones affected still wish me too. But hopefully this will give me time needed to get ahead of my weekly posts and still devote the time each individual story deserves.

Again, thank you all for sticking with me through all of this and thank you all who accompany me into the new year.
