Holly is... well, each character in Cat/Suit reflects a bit of me, as they should. Holly's a product of being expected to just 'try a little bit harder' time and time again. As the story progresses more of that comes out in the game until Holly's story reaches its end. Her backstory as Haily's big sister and as Princess is always, always always trying to perform at her best for the people who expect that of her, but seemingly coming up short of people's expectations. Before Cat/Suit even begins, and 2 years before the story even starts she hit a wall and never recovered. There was a car accident that marked her collapse as a person and she didn't even get hurt in it, not physically. 

The Holly/Princess dynamic is one of self loathing and personal hate masked by an innate need for control over her surroundings and others. Princess is the pure expression of Holly's dominant 'Mistress' side brought out and given its own life. The irony of course is that dom side hates the other half of itself. Without a tangible connection of understanding between Princess and Holly, their current relationship comes down to who's the alpha and who's the bitch. Princess won't rest until she (the Edgling just to clarify) is no longer the bitch.
