> Japan has introduced a potential law that requires content creators hiding under a pseudonym like mangakas, VTubers, YouTubers, and LN authors to have their identities and personal information be open to the public. The law/bill is intended to make it so that tax collectors in Japan can easily identify people in these fields. However, to VTubers and other similar content creators, it is a complete destruction of their privacy.

At this time, the law hasn't passed yet. It's still apparently in the drafting phase. On the bright side, most Japanese content creators and politicians are confident that the bill/law isn't going to see the light of day.
