Finally i can show you something!

Before i say anything else, go watch the flash file here: http://sta.sh/0f9nco2yzuz (5mb)

I kept this thing a secret for a while, but finally i have something here. It's still a WIP, even in this preview there are a few bugs, but some of them are easy to fix, others are just not yet finished.

Now for some needed explanation:

Some may remember, but Goddess's Fork was actually an entry to the manuscript contest. The manuscript contained several different scenarios and endings, which was a major reason why i choose it as a winner. Especially considering i was looking for an opportunity like this for a while, because i always wanted to do something interactive with different endings etc.

So after a bit of thinking and talking about it with the person who submitted it, I decided to make a game out of the entry! It will be a game in the style of Dragons Lair (and its successor Space Ace), that means, it will mostly be an animated feature with quicktime events to progress the story that lead to different scenarios. (for example, in the video whenever the guy dodges the girls, a small scene from a different perspective would appear with him doing a proper dodging animation if successful, if the quicktime event fails, he will get trampled on)

As it's my first time doing something like this, i also did the 3 page mini comic about Goddess's Fork, so even if the game turns out to not look as good as i hoped, we still would have the comic.

As can be seen by the image and the video, it will be in pixel graphics, because that way i can easily adjust errors and other things by hand if needed to, after all, it's the first time i have done something like this.(not to mention i like pixel graphic artworks)

It's rendered by a 3d engine, because let's face it, drawing all of it by hand would be impossible for a single person. This preview alone has 280 frames of almost entirely changing images. The only thing, aside for fixing errors, i will be doing by hand are faces that are clearly visible.

The Video does not contain lineart, because rendering lineart cost too much time. I will do it for the final product, as can be seen in the image, but not for the wip animations.

I think that's all i wanted to say for now. I'm not sure when the next WIP of this will be done, but i will keep working on it. For now though i will concentrate on the next page of "The superficial wish"
