Hey friends, hope everyone's doing well this week! I'm finally mostly recovered from my lingering cold. Still showing some exhaustion, and I cough when I laugh, but otherwise I'm back to normal. Whoop, whoop!

As of today, the image total for next update stands at 194, and I'm slowly working through Ashe's date. This one's a bit of a pain, as it features Guy and Ashe both having dinner and drinking wine. That sounds like no big deal, but in practice it tends to mean a lot of little hand gestures, as well as careful attention to continuity. The scene with Nicki at the diner was similar in terms of annoyance, as I had to make sure neither she nor Guy were putting down or picking up their coffee cups abruptly between lines.

I always tell myself I'll do less scenes where people are interacting with a bunch of props, but I just can't help myself. I feel like that stuff adds a certain amount of verisimilitude. Still, setting things up well in Daz really helps. To that end, when I do a scene like this I've learned to have doubles of every object that a character will be interacting with. So, Guy and Ashe both have a fork 'parented' to their hand that I can hide or show, as well as one on their plate for when they put it down. Same deal with their wine glasses. One's on the table, one's attached to their respective hands. Then I just create custom hand gesture poses for their wine and fork grips, and voila! An easy way to manage the scene.

Still, I'll be happy when I get to the hot tub portion of their date. Easier to manage, and sexier. Both things I like!

Otherwise, things continue as usual. While I render Ashe's date I've been picking away at some stuff for the game's script, as well as a short story featuring Ashe that I'll be posting here later this month. I'm still working towards the goal of getting this release out later this month, but I'll keep everyone updated as to my progress.

I think that's it for today! No big news, I'm just excited to be rolling through this update, and looking forward to sharing it with everyone.

Until next time, take care of yourselves, and thank you for your support!

Glad an end of the month release is still in the cards. Very much looking forward to it!

I’m thinking back to all the games I’ve played that just had stock images of food pasted over the plates. And the dialogue immediately cutting from full plate to empty plate with characters saying “mmm that food was so good”

Hah! I had to really hunt to find a good set of props for this, but behold! https://www.daz3d.com/dirty-dishes
