Hi!

The mermaid-animation "In Her Depth" is now finished! I have a few more tweeks and end credits to add before general release, and perhaps a bonus scene, but other than that it is done. It is out for early access now and will be available for all patrons in a few days.

Have you seen that viral clip of a diver being bumped by a Great White in murky waters? Well, that is what inspired me to make this!

The reason for the massive delay is that I had issues with the lighting and render times because of the murky water. Daz doesn't play well with this type of scene. I tried making the water more clear or so on but that ruined the feel I was amining. Unfortunately I had to lower the render quality to make it work in the end. I hope it is still viewable and enjoyable!

Short and perhaps not a very sexy animation but I still think it is pretty cool! Unique, if not anything else!

I like to imagine he lived a lot longer in her because of his tank

Thanks! If the scene continued, it would have been good to see her break the surface of ocean and visit whatever boat that guy was talking to before he got lunched. I'm sure the underwater stuff adds a layer of complexity to the animation.

Wow it was

Embarassing XD

Frizzle

You've outdone yourself, this was incredibly well done. Looking forward to the final cut.

Well, at least we know he can hold his breath a while. Not so sure about the rest of what happens in there, lol Great work man : )

Great job man! I do feel like the brightness should be turned up a bit since it is hard to see, otherwise keep it up!

This is really interesting! I feel like the audio mix is a little off. I can't tell if she's saying something or if it's just the whale song in the background that just sounds like a female voice.

This was a really good animation and a creative idea, if you want to keep the lighting and mood may I suggest haveing the diver have a flashlight in his hand and as he pans around catch glimpses of the giantess mermaid swimming by but not show the whole mermaid just sections of her body that the beam of light touches, maybe add a second or 3rd diver and have their comms go out as they get eaten whole and the main diver slowly notices his comrades going silent. Then that scene yo I made happens and he turns around, flashlight in hand and you see the mermaids face and as she sucks him in he drops the flashlight and it would allow you to bring lighting from the bottom up so you can see her body and the swallow bulge and she’ll swim away. Maybe make the scene really dark like night time dark so it’s more spooky and will enhance the flashlight/ominous feel of “somethings out there but I can’t see it” fear of the unknown and all that. :)

Great animation. Could be a short animation of a girl in a Giganta dress eating Wonder Woman.

I cant play it 🥺 the max playtime is reached :(

Those are all good ideas, for sure! Not revealing the entire "monster" is always a good touch. I tried working with different light settings, some much darker, and I did play around with a flashlight, but the higher the contrast between the light and dark areas, the harder Daz's Iray has to work, so I decided down this compromized route.

Wow incredible concept! One thing I would like to see is his voice inside her mouth being a bit more audible, I think it would make the scene even hotter! I can faintly make out a "I'm in her mouth", hearing his last radio call be "No don't swallow me!" or something along those lines would be icing on the cake!

Awesome! Not sure if you actually ended up messing with the audio, but it sounds really good in this one.

Amazing. Would love to see and extended version of this where the mermaid ends up eating a whole diving team. With some internal stomach shots.

I wonder if he'll survive longer with all that equipment on

Some internal shots would be nice and a fart after she swimms away ^^

Short and simple, but enjoyable. While I wish we had clearer water to see the mermaid fully, I must admit that it would have ruined the creepy mood. EC's idea to have a flashlight could be good, definitely (In fact, what if the diver had a headlamp, and as he's getting swallowed, we see the light through the throat bulge? :p). About the animation itself, I'm not really convinced by the camera movement at the beginning, it doesn't really feel natural. I was also a bit taken away by his sudden dash in her mouth. Perhaps you wanted to show she was sucking the water? Maybe some white lines (kinda like wind in video games) could help. Anyway, I'm curious to see what that bonus scene will be :)

I think you struck a perfect balance in regards to the murkiness. And it's nice to see this rendered, never seen actual mermaid vore underwater in an animation, and it's one of my fave scenarios. So fantastic job as always.

AresOfThrace

She could have been a bit more playful with the guy, but otherwise really good work, as always. x)
