She has arrived! Whether we like it or not! Lady comiket has graced us with her presence yet again for the hundred’n third time and AiD is attending with little to no sleep! Time keeps passing and there’s nothing anyone one can do about it! Yay!

In fact i’m at the booth as I write this post! Brain is dead yay!

The demo we are working on needs a bit more finessing but we’ve managed to finish the year not-empty handed. We’ve compiled a quick (?) video showcasing a lot of the content and tech we’ve been hammering away at.

This piece was made to loop at comiket on mute so the sound design is still pretty rusty but we thought it would be cool to release it as a Patrons bonus. Check it out if you’re the bleeding edge type as it came out pretty solid! There will be an English version of it as soon after I can get some time behind the computer… and after comiket and New Years. We also have Shinda and Dust videos in the pipeline, as I kinda want to keep this format to introduce the nurses.

The FPV shot of Ritona on the hospital bed is particularly interesting, as we’ve implemented virtual camera features where we used camera gyros to actually shoot the scenes like they would on a movie set. Basically like how they shot the live action version of Lion King.I think it’s neat enough to warrant an entire post? Which we should be able to pump out after the New Years.

Thoughts on 2024

So we did the minor crunch of December and there’s something we’ve firmly realized (or more like reaffirmed). The more we work on this game the more it reveals itself from the murky shadows and… this is big game. It’s also a big game, but i’ll leave the puns aside. I feel like 2023 was a lot of R&D again. LIGHTKRAVTE only could have prepped us so much as we are doing something totally different now. including layong a foundation for the future. There was a crap ton of shit we didn’t know how to do, or assumed we could do but ended up needing extra time to research some minor technical issue that would stop everything in its tracks. Theres much, much more we have to do before releasing this thing but judging by the level of quality we’ve been able to achieve this year and especially the past couple of months, growth has been clearly exponential and I’m almost certain we can do this. MS2b and the fault series underlying engine is coming out pretty awesome and I don’t want to rush production. I really do think it’s worth putting in the extra effort. That being said, we are tentatively aiming for a late Q3 2024 master up in Japanese for now, but grain of salt, grain of salt. We’ll let you know if things change.

I want to thank everyone again for the unwavering support. Your presence is a huge part of our drive to go on. We promise to power on through 2024 and beyond. I and the rest of the team have nothing to but gratitude.
