Vilserio folks

I hope everyone enjoyed the Thapras art!

During long-term development, an interesting phenomenon often occurs where the best assets we create at the beginning become outdated in various ways, whether in terms of programming structure or art style. This occurred with LIGHTKRAVTE as well, where Khaji's character model, being the very first Spine model we created (derived from Ritona in MS2b lol), became outdated over time and needed an overhaul. The same happened with MS1, 2a, and even Mhakna. It seems to happen every time to some degree.

Initial Kaji design.

MS2b of course, is also not immune to this, as over time Ritona has started to show her age (lel) . In fact, her model has been around even before LIGHTKRAVTE, so it was inevitable that we would have to make some serious design changes, but we were unsure of the timing… until now. With the completion of the Thapras design and minor overhaul of the mana system (now replaced with a Battery), Ritona's overall functionality has settled in nicely.

Behold, Ritona Version 2.0! We hope you like her new outfit.

Here are the elements up close and in detail.

Battery - Mana you pick up around the map will be stored here. You'll need energy to interact with certain things in the facility.

Thapras - A flower that grows inside the Subjects in the domain. It feeds on the excess mana the subject releases in their body, which can be deadly if not dealt with. Ritona will have to pluck the seed-like growth at the right time to avoid losing consciousness or death.

Mana Gauge - Serving as Ritona’s health gauge, Ritona is told she can’t leave the Vita Domain till this meter turns fully green. It also works as her mana meter where the better she get’s the more mana she can use. The meter replenishes itself after use.

Alty Leg Charm - This leg charm protects Ritona from bad omens and grants her access to areas of the Vita Domain she couldn’t reach otherwise. Alty can upgrade the charm for you using energy from the Battery and Vibaelia Mana harvested from the Thapras growth.
