Hi folks!

Munisix here, recovering from a terrible cold that most likely nearly killed me but not really anyways lets get going. (please read that sentence as a run on)

Many things have been happening under the hood over here at HQ and we've made some positive progress in the "things we can show our patrons" criteria so here it is.

As stated earlier, StP has brought on a massive UI overhaul to the fault engine in general. Everything, from the message box to the novel box, save/load window, encyclopedia,  gallery, etc will be revamped, and with it, we're bringing some of the title-neutral elements over to fault - milestone one, and milestone 2 side:above for the Playstation Vita and 4.

At the moment, we're not quite sure how we're going to handle the Steam version, because this will basically turn it into a completely different-looking game and we want to be careful with the issue of archiving. We'll see how things go though.

Anyways, the Vita version and PS4 versions are BEING WORKED ON! like, a lot. Parallel that with StP and learning the quirks of Unity and other not-very-fun-to-discuss office work related things is really bogging us down but we can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel.

As usual, thank you all for sticking around.

Much love,

-Munisix

There are a few games, Divinity: Original Sin and Skyrim most immediately come to mind, where new and improved versions of the same game have been released on Steam. In those cases owners of the older version received a new one for free while the older version stayed intact but renamed, e.g. Divinity: Original Sin (Classic) and Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition. The two examples come with different business models: buying Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition nets you both the classic and the new version, while Skyrim and Skyrim Special Edition are separate, differently priced titles. Either way though it would be entirely possible for the two versions to be kept on Steam, and it's been done before!

Another way to go about it would be to simply release the update as a patch for the current game, but keep the current game available as a Beta channel release. That way the old version is archived on Steam while the new version won't have to be counted as a new game.

First of all, don't die from a cold. Otherwise who is going to fix that run on sentence?

First of all, don't die from a cold. Otherwise who is going to fix that run on sentence? Second of all, OMG is that scenery gorgeous. Like, it's GORGEOUS. HOLY MOLY GORGEOUS. Wow amazingly GORGEOUS. It looks like Zen. Just like the zen you feel from watching Aria. Is StP Aria's alternative universe? Hahaha.

Can't wait for the Sony ports, so I can buy the game all over again!

The changing of seasons sickness strikes again. I just got over a sinus infection last week and it literally felt like somebody was constantly stabbing me in the head with Gordon Ramsey's Kitchen knife for a couple of days. Hopefully the series will Gain more fans once it gets ported to Sony's platforms.

So pretty..

Can't wait to get these on the Vita! I'm liking the fantasy style text blurb. That background for StP looks amazing. Leaps and bounds better than the original would ever be.

It's so beautiful...

Nice to see the UI-overhaul and to hear that the team's still working on the ports. But I hope you will relax a bit during the seasons holidays. :)

I was wondering if these three blue menu dots at the top middle in the StP techdemo will be retained? They look a little bloaty or maybe out of place. Maybe you want to recolor or hide them a little better, let them go over into the rest of the UI more fluently? I hope you get what I mean. Or maybe you've already done so, I don't see them in the StP screenshot anymore? Different bubble types makes sense, that thought had never occured me, but now looking back it probably would've helped differentiating various types of speech or though particularily in the beginning of ms1.

Also, what is it you are doing with Unity? I thought Fault is made in Ren'py?

It is but lately, AiD's been trying stuff out with Unity. They've kinda exhausted the Ren'py engine for their needs so they want see how Unity goes. Also makes for easier porting.
