I really like situations where people are drinking and eating, so I had a lot of fun drawing this. Melano-san is a person with an aura, so I always want to draw him in an aerial composition, and this time was no exception. I like the angle of his face, but I always have trouble finding the right balance.

Recently, I've been in a bit of a transition period with my drawing style, but I personally feel that I'm getting more comfortable and stable with it. I wasn't satisfied before, but now I have no choice but to release it...! I'm just trying to make it quick and easy.

I just want to finish the work quickly and easily to increase the turnover rate, but it's impossible to find the minimum number of moves from the beginning. So last year and the year before, I built a foundation for careful and detailed finishing, and from there I went through a trial and error process to see how I could pick up only the most important parts of a drawing. I really don't want to increase the number of layers. I used to use more than 10 layers just for the eyes, and when I was dying of lack of time, I would just copy and paste the pupil parts from a picture with a similar angle...

I was really bad at drawing Melano and Ritna, or rather, I wanted to draw them, but my ideal was not clear, and I could not draw them as I wanted. Recently, I got an approval from Munisix for Ritna, saying that she has become a stable and ideal character. Yay!

Personally, I'd like to bury the pictures I drew in the early days, but that's why I'm here now... At first, I didn't have much of an ideal of how I wanted to draw her, and my range was narrow, so it's no wonder I couldn't draw her.

飲んだり食べたりしてるシチュエーションってものすごく好きなので、とても楽しく描かせて頂きました。メラノさんってオーラがある人なので、ついついアオリ構図で描きたくなっちゃうんだけど今回もそれに漏れずでした。この顔の角度好きなんですが、いつもバランスに悩みます。

最近は絵柄がちょっと過渡期にあるのですが、個人的にはすごく描きやすく安定してきたなと実感しています。以前は納得できてないけどもう出すしかない…！ということで絵をお披露目したこともしばしばありました。

私はとにかく早く楽に仕上げて回転率を上げたいのですが、最初から最小手数を見つけるのって、まず無理なんですよね。なので去年一昨年あたりで丁寧に細かく仕上げる土台を作ってそこからいかに大事な部分だけピックアップした描き方ができるか試行錯誤してきました。レイヤー数はほんとに増やさないに限ります。前は目だけで10レイヤー以上使っていて、あまりに時間がなくて死にそうな時は同じような角度の絵の瞳パーツだけコピペしたりしていました…

メラノさんとか、リトナとかは本当に苦手というか、描きたいけど自分の理想がはっきりせず、なかなか思い通りに描けないキャラクター達でした。最近になってやっと、リトナはMunisixさんからも安定して理想のキャラになってきたねとお墨付きを頂けました。やったぜ💪

個人的には最初期の頃の絵って葬りたいのですが、あれがあるからこそ今があるのであって…最初は「こう描きたい」という理想もあまり固まってなかった上に守備範囲も狭かったので、そりゃ描けなくて当然というか。それにしても自分の成長の鈍足さよ…
