Holy sheeeeeet the PS vita characters look 10 times better than the PC version. I hope the PC gets changed to the Vita ones they look cuter more kawaiii~~~ and Melano looks so cute!!!

Melano deservers her own patreon... no wait, her own WWW! There certainly is a lot of improvement on the new sprite, compared to the old one. But tbh I do like the simplicity of the old ones as well. I hope there will be an option to switch between old and new sprites?

We will never take anything away from you. The previous Steam builds will always be there for you to roll back to. I don't think we can build a toggle in game to switch though. Maybe waaaaaaay in the future when we're not so mind numbingly busy but I wouldn't count on it.

I'd be interested to hear about the decision to include cleavage on Melano. You guys usually seem to stand against sexualizing any of your characters, which I think is a good thing. With all the preconceptions of a lot of VN's, It seems to me like it could undermine the character, especially since she is supposed to be the really powerful. You can already possibly see this through the comments already on here, not sure if you were going for "cute."

Melano has to be my favorite character, and I like both renditions of her; the simplicity that was her former self, and the more feminine aspects for her new self. But most of all, I like her for her personality similarly to how I like Rhegan, though she takes on Selphy's appearance in the VN. For me, I don't see the change in appearance hurting my perception of Melano.

You have to remember something basic here. Sexualization happens in the viewers mind. There is nothing inherently sexual about a cleavage unless the viewer sexualizes it him/herself. It just so happens that the majority of people share the trigger of finding breasts and buttocks to be the 2 main sexual features of the female body but this isn’t a hard rule by any means. Wanna know the truth? I didn’t even think about or even notice her cleavage until you guys brought it up here. There was literally 0 sexualization happening in my mind when this design was submitted and I guarantee you Hare-san will answer the same. I think you might be misunderstanding our stance slightly… we don’t do “porn”, where the POINT is to “blatantly” sexualize characters for the purpose of sexual arousal when the story is clearly about something else. It all boils down to this: it’s not our INTENT as creators to illicit a sexual response with this design. We are depicting her as a beautiful mysterious individual and this is our way of doing it. If you disagree with it, then all you can really do is think we are perverts for “sexualizing” yet another female character but you might really want to think about what that actually means before you come to this conclusion.
