Update (Patreon)
Content
Afternoon all, just a quick update.
I wanted to say I'm sorry for posting so little exclusive content on Patreon. It's simply that I'm a one-man-army, and those Patrons I know personally always say the same thing: stop dicking about with Hasselhoff book readings and head explosions and get on with making proper videos. So that's what I've been doing.
To that end I've removed myself from a couple of other projects I've mentioned recently. Next up was going to be a Borrowing Blockbusters on E.T., which was commissioned by a distributor about to release an infamous knock off. But E.T. isn't the kind of movie I want to cover right now, and a shoulder injury (apparently you can injure yourself editing if you're as unfit as me) confined me to research for too long.
I'm definitely sticking with the one major project I mentioned though, a feature documentary on bad movies, but that's just rumbling in the background for now and may well go nowhere.
Since finishing the Star Wars video I've been immersed in the next big Borrowing Blockbusters: Alien! It should be epic, at least a two-parter (I'm splitting Alien and Aliens to make it more manageable), but the 'screenplay' for the Alien part is about two hours at the moment, so it might get split again. If not I plan to post either an extended version or an additional 'deleted scenes' video exclusive to Patreon.
Although that project will generate a lot of content for the channel, it's going to take time, and I have a couple of non-BB ideas for something shorter that I'd be able to get up sooner.
As ever I hope everyone's well, and also aware of my gratitude! The channel's been doing great but I'm on it full time time these days and it doesn't generate close to a living wage, so your generosity is important and hugely valued!
All the best,
Rob.
