Howdy hey everyone!

I'm happy to announce that a new version of The Pill is available! This one sadly doesn't have any new story arcs added, but it does now include a fully voiced Belle, thanks to the amazing efforts of Miss Moonified.

If you'd like to see more of her work, check out her social channels:

In addition to the voice I have moved the game onto a newer version of the game engine which adds a couple of new features. One thing that I would advise people to do is turn off "Time Message to Voice" which is available under Settings -> Message.

Otherwise it slows down the text to match the vo line which personally I think looks a bit naff.

Since this is a beta build of the game engine it may be a little bit more unstable than previous versions, so please let me know of any issues you encounter. Enjoy!

Just a heads up - the Mac link is missing a colon (between https and //). Excited to give this voiced version a try!

Can't wait to try it out! The voice over aspect has me very intrigued. The previews you posted were excellent. Thanks so much for all your efforts!

Happy to do it - hope you enjoy the personality and character MissMoonified has added. I think she gives Belle a real spark of life.

when I click on the icon "game" it won't open >.<

begrove

Which version are you using (mac or PC)? Also I've found for a couple of other people if they reboot their computer it gets it to work.

Anonymous

I can open the game and move through the menu, but when I try to open Trish OR Bella's story it goes to a black screen for a few seconds then closes. I've tried opening as Admin and rebooting. EDIT: This is on Windows 10

sadly mine won't open as well. Not sure if it's dues to the new apple update.

begrove

I'm going to release a different version for Apple in a few hours time, which fingers crossed will fix your opening issue. Stay tuned.

Nither of the Mac versions will launch on the new version of mac.

The 64 bit worked better. I was able to play Trish's side with no problems. The only issue I encountered was audio issues with the music after speeding through dialogue too much

begrove

Awesome glad to hear it. Yeah the skip tool is a powerful and dangerous beast. If you have music issues, save the game and load the save and it should all be sorted.

begrove

It seems like the latest version of mac won't support the game engine. I've submitted a ticket to the engine creators and hopefully they'll release a patch to fix that soon.

Conn Eise

its not working :(

begrove

Hi Conn, what's the issue you're having? Is it not loading at all or getting stuck at a point? Also what OS are you using and have you tried rebooting your computer?

Conn Eise

its no working :(

Any updates for Mac users getting a version that works?

begrove

No direct updates I'm afraid. There's still been no response from the engine builders, though I have read that it's worth testing to see if an encrypted version of the game might not cause the same blockages from Apple. Here's a link to an encrypted version of the game: https://mega.nz/#!zCoEHQ7a!f90kySv0LWj2ZvGFaKIhZEKDWblVxhD8Ur3TraGzfoY I'm not positive it'll make a difference but worth a shot.

it tells me the nw_elf.dll is missing. but i clearly see it right there how should i fix this, i am unfamiliar with this program?

begrove

Have you tried rebooting and launching the program as one of the first things your computer loads? Not a great answer but it has worked in the past.

DatGhostboi

I hope we get muscle and height pills in the future.

begrove

Well this is a coincidence - they're included in the newly released v0.4.0!
