The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.

The game has a decent HDR implementation providing proper in-game Peak HDR Luminance control in nits value up to 2.000 nits along with additional contrast and saturation controls. There is a problem tho: the corresponding, measured, nits values is usually a bit lower than the one setup in the game (e.g. 1.000 nits in game settings = 850 nits with measurements).

Another annoying thing is that for accessing the in-game HDR settings you have to first start a game mission, then open the in-game Settings menu and go to the following "Adjust Image Quality" section:

If you have an LG OLED and:

> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:

  • Set Adjust Brightness slider to: 5
  • Set Maximum Brightness slider to: 2.000 (nits; Max)
  • Set Adjust Saturation slider to: 5

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set Adjust Brightness slider to: 5
  • Set Maximum Brightness slider to: 900 (nits) or 1.100 (for G2) or 1.600 (for G3)
  • Set Adjust Saturation slider to: 7

If you don't have an LG OLED and:

> you don't have an HGIG option:

  • Set Adjust Brightness slider to: 5
  • Set Maximum Brightness slider to: 1.000 (nits)
  • Set Adjust Saturation slider to: 5

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set Maximum Brightness slider to the corresponding real Peak HDR Luminance of your TV in "nits".

Just curious why saturation is different for DTM and HGIG?

techoptimized

Because HGIG colors have a bit less luminance compared to DTM and increasing their saturation a bit will help in that case.

Hello I have c1 and it's brightness is just 800 nits in hgig but here in this game you are recommending to keep 900 is any issue is with game graphics calibration P40L0
