The game is NOT using/applying Xbox HDR Calibration app settings.

The game has one of the best HDR implementations providing an actual Peak HDR Brightness slider in numerical value (but not in nits) up to 10.000 nits, along with other video controls.

If you have an LG OLED and:

> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:

  • Set HDR Base Brightness slider to: 1.12 (which is around 4.000 nits);

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set HDR Base Brightness slider to: 0.64 (which is around 800 nits) or 0.69 (for G2) or 0,8 (for G3).

If you don't have an LG OLED and:

> you don't have an HGIG option:

  • Set HDR Base Brightness slider to: 0.69 (which is around 1.000 nits);

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set HDR Base Brightness slider to one of those values and the corresponding real Peak HDR Luminance of your TV in "nits":

In all cases leave all the other video options (Contrast, UI Brightness, Richness, Shadow Detail) to Default/Middle (1.0) as those are already correctly setup for a balanced exposure/gamma and colors saturation.

Hi, using HGiG, LG C1 on PC, 0.64 seems very dark, 1.0 is actually perfect. Maybe thanks an update, the game is now using the system (properly configured to 800nits on my window)? Don't know. Thanks.

Yes, probably on PC the Windows settings are overriding (or messing up) with the in-game settings in that case. This is not happening on Xbox, so yeah, try to restore defaults there if they look better to your eyes.
