The game is NOT using/applying Xbox/Playstation HDR Calibration app settings.

The game has a good HDR implementation, as Peak HDR Brightness can be controlled with a proper "Max Luminance" slider in nits and can go up to 4.000 nits along with a "Paper White" option which can control the overall exposure and gamma of the picture.

But reference images does not represent the actual luminance during gameplay.

If you have an LG OLED and:

> you're using Dynamic Tone Mapping or Dynamic Contrast:

  • Set Max Luminance slider to: 4.000 (nits; Max);
  • Set Paper White slider to: 500.

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set Max Luminance slider to: 800 (nits) or 1.000 (for G2) or 1.500 (for G3);
  • Set Paper White slider to: 600.

If you don't have an LG OLED and:

> you don't have an HGIG option:

  • Set Max Luminance slider to: 1.000 (nits;);
  • Set Paper White slider to: 600.

> you're using HGIG:

  • Set HDR slider to the corresponding real Peak HDR Luminance of your TV in "nits";
  • Set Paper White slider to: 600.

i have a b7a oled with dynamic contrast on; the max luminance goes up to 4000, not 1000 (not sure if 1.000 is the same as 1000) can you shed some light if im misunderstanding something? thank you!

You're right, it was a typo on my side. I just fixed the recommendation for DTM/DC which is correct at 4.000 nits. Thanks for the feedback!
