Dev update April 2021 (Patreon)

I’m hard at work on Harem Camp. I had been hoping to have more free time, but the last year or so has been extremely fucked up. Normally my day job is kinda slow for winter and early spring, and only really in the start of April would it start to pick up. Not so. Mostly my family and I have been pretty lucky this year, though, so I’m not really complaining.

But on the other side of the spectrum I’ve been putting some money back into this stuff. I built a new rendering rig, which is running vastly faster than my old rig. But due to GPU scarcity it has a potato for a video card. That’s a situation where I just need to watch all the relevant stores like a hawk and hope I hit at the right time. But even with a potato it’s an improvement over my previous rig. My current computer setup is fucking ridiculous, with my old rig, my rendering rig and writing laptop all on one desk, with a rats nest of mouses and keyboards.

Harem Camp v.0.8.0 is slated to contain significant updates for Clare, Ms. Vandenberg, and Sally. The Ms. Vandenberg stuff is going to push the main plot a little further along. Clare will be somewhat involved in that, but she’s also going to get some solo development. Sally will get her first real plot scenes since she was introduced. There's also a little extremely strange side girl content incoming.

I also have a scene with Amanda already done, but it’s really a little comedy scene with little plot relevance.

I also want to overhaul the quest system and separate plot quests vs the list of adult scenes. Basically the status menu is getting a little unweildy and I need to do a new pass on the UI. I probably won’t get to that before I finish the main update, so that will probably be in the .0.8.1

I’m going to have some info about Goodnight Kiss: Sugar and Spice at the end of the month. I’m not properly developing it yet, but my plan is to put together a release for May. It’s going to be a more straight up visual novel. I’ll have more details after I finish this update for Harem Camp.
