Hello everyone!

This month we have been more silent than usual, but it's for a good reason: There are changes behind the curtains related to the game's programming and the 3d meshes. The first is that we got a new programmer to help us to speed up the optimization process, and the second is that the acolyte clothes are finally done!

The new acolyte clothes use the reviewed body shape we worked on. There were two ideas in my mind about how we could approach this month:

  • We could take our time to reshape all the old armours to fit the new body style, which is an arduous task but, in the end, is something we will have to do anyways, sooner or later. Then we can turn this page and try to implement the new rig.
  • We could reshape the new armour to fit the old body mesh and leave all this implementation of the new body to happen somewhere in the future, so we can focus this month's budget on getting new cutscenes done to add the pieces of the quests that are missing, which are helping Farley and the lesbian path on the speech Kaly gives to her acolytes.

Given some thought, the second option would enable us to release a patch in the short term, but then we would be just postponing something that eventually will need to happen anyway. We also have to train the new programmer. So we won't be able to release a patch this month since all the armours will be getting a review as we transition from the old to the new body style.

This month, I plan to release a new animation to our patrons, so next month, we will have a more stable demo and improved characters. Notice that we are only one-third of the month, so things are not set in stone yet. We are always open to hearing our supporters' ideas of alternate rewards when we reach roadblocks like this and to know what else you are excited to see!

Unless the old armors are in current build or unless it will make it way easier in the future, do what's most important first.

I would say reshape the old armours, and not just because it is something you would have to do later, or because it the way forward... but also because it is always better to solve certain problems as they appear instead of letting them develop new issues as time and new elements are brought to the table later on...
