Hello everyone, Corintio here!

Today I wanted to bring to the test branch a patch with the new ranged combat system and also some changes on the game UI. This patch is not very stable, there might be situations where the UI will disappear or that enemies won't behave properly (like gremnoch is no longer breaking pillars). But since our main goal here is to gather some feedback on the new ranged combat system, we felt like it would be okay to release it anyway and then within the next week we release another patch addressing the issues this one created.

So please be patient with us and if it's okay, let us know through discord if you find out any issue.

Fixes

  • Reenabled physics on hairstyles in the sex scenes gallery;
  • Pause menu fix when using with P;
  • Fixed rodents being held in strange ways sometimes;
  • Fixed claws (both trails and weapon attachment);
  • Fixed the logic on attributes being set when Kalyskah was equipping something so they are calculated before derived stats;
  • Fixed dark spots on Kalyskah ears;

Enhancements

  • Optimized UI so it doesn’t have too many things happening every frame;
  • Changes on tracked quest UI;
  • Improved new fringe hair textures;

  • Added slot rarity border on the new UI;

  • Stamina should now always recover at the same rate no matter how much the character max stamina is;
  • Reduced the stamina cost for all attacks by 20% and decreased the stamina cost to sprint by half;
  • Made Telekinesis rely more on physics so Kalyskah can now pull and push multiple targets. It might be a bit glitchy though, needs to be tested;
  • Kalyskah will face the direction she used telekinesis for a while, so the animation looks better;
  • Increased landscape resolution so it can now have more details;
  • Replaced the old way where Kalyskah's weapon was a child actor and out that the weapon will be properly spawned into the level;
  • Improved Kalyskah's eyebrows;
  • Added sound effects when dashing;
  • Added blood splatter effects on the ground;
  • New icons for gamepad actions;
  • Kalyskah can no longer play football with loot bags;
  • Kalyskah's stamina condition to attack has made more consistent so she won’t be prevented from attacking even when she has enough stamina;
  • wrinkle maps will be disabled in the game's lowest quality;
  • Hexblade’s projectiles will now bounce on walls if they miss;
  • Added a broken bridge next to the watermill;

Features

  • Players will be able to choose colours on characters by using a colour picker instead of manually sting the RGB values;

  • Two new spells are automatically added when the open world is loaded: Dark Ascending and Blood Shoot. Both of them will later be available only when the player develops them in the skill tree, but for now, we are testing the complications of them so we are just giving them away when the game loads.
  • Kalyskah can now jump when she has a weapon equipped, there are two new attacks as well. One is an air attack if you are in the air and the player presses the attack button. The second she will spin and go up if she has a target locked or is defending and the player presses the attack button;

  • New weapon: Bow. Both Kalyskah and the AI can shoot arrows. The NPCs will try to hit Kaly with the bow and then run away if she comes too close;
  • If the player shoots an arrow at the head of an NPC, the NPC will be pushed back as they receive a critical hit (although damage is still the same);
  • Rodents can be killed with an arrow, although we don’t know why someone would do something so rude to the poor rats… =(
  • Starting to make the game compatible to the controller in several menus of the game;
  • New Hairstyle, slicked back;

  • Blood on weapons for 2 minutes after they hit an enemy;

  • Improved effects when an attack lands: A hit particle will play and there will also be some frame stop to give the player the feeling that they managed to hit the enemy;

Known Issues:

  • Greemnoch is not lifting Kalyskah for some reason, and he is also bouncing. We’ll check what’s going on soon;
  • Interface will disappear in a few conditions that we are still testing and fixing;
  • Please tell us anything else you find.
