[News] Progress on rebuilding Milhaven and more (Patreon)
Content
Hello everyone, Corintio here!
As we approach the date of release of the next patron build with the new locomotion and stealth system, I wanted to let you know that the guys from Tiny Talisman are already working at full speed on a separate branch to rebuild Milhaven!
But before we jump into that, I wanted to let you know about some other exciting thing I did during the past week: Added physics to all the hairstyles we have and also made that when Kalyskah equips the witch-hat, the hair will go down instead of clip through the mesh!
(Nevermind the lights and the looks of her skin on those pictures, this is our test level!)
Another thing we've been doing is working on the dialogues for the new negotiation system, which will be in the hands of our voice actors by tomorrow and introduced to the game after the town is rebuild =)
We have also outlined how the Puppeteers mechanics will work, the BDSM club that Kalyskah will be able to join as a pet or a mistress. But more about that in one or two months, because we will have a lot of work to do once the new town is done!
An now to Milhaven!
As I said before, we are rebuilding the whole town. Not only by making it look better but also by making it bigger! We will also move Kelhold and the bandit camp to somewhere else to help with the game-flow. In this picture bellow, Kelhold will be where that lonely white cube is:
Milhaven will have many more houses and now will go all the way to the snowy part of the mountain, where Maynard, the bandit lord, will be with his most trusted men and women.
We are adding some alleys so kalyskah will have lots of opportunities to find people alone and vulnerable for her to bite.
And going down some stairs, the player will now be able to find a muddy area, the slums of Milhaven. Filled with rats and dirt:
We will probably add some farmlands around town as well. But we talk about that once we have blocked that out as well =)
As you can see, the town is getting bigger, and on our tests, it might take a minute to go from the bottom to top, and because of that, once we have the finished version of Milhaven (Since you can see that the white blocks are just so we can get the flow of the level before adding the actual buildings) we will add checkpoints across the map, and also on two or three different parts of the town. Those checkpoints will be coffins that Kalyskah will be able to rest not just to pass the time, but also to fast travel and rebuild her body in case she gets defeated in battle.
I hope you are as excited as we are about that news, the new town will be a huge step and once we have it, we'll have space to accommodate a lot of urban quests that we couldn't even imagine before!
