Patreon Previews? IMPORTANT (Patreon)

Hey guys,

So I got some complaints on DA about the Tifa preview that I had uploaded. I put up the ab pose as a tiny 166x300 thumbnail for the advertisement about this month's exclusives, and I heard that I was giving away too much by letting people see even the tiny, kinda blurry version. However, I didn't actually hear it directly on here, from you, the Patrons. So, I have to ask:


Is it okay for me to upload tiny thumbnail previews, or do they need to be obfuscated as well? For reference, I changed the preview on my DA page to have a Patreon logo on it for now so that I don't get you guys angry on accident.  https://www.deviantart.com/fudgex02/art/Tifa-803895925

Either-or is fine, honestly I want you to engage in what you think will make people join the patreon and retain being a part of the patreon. As to that, the fuzzy quality doesnt really attract anyone in my view at least, so maybe just the covered up "This is what you're missing" pics would be better.

As advertisment, I think the second way works better, it worked on me.

I'd have to say I agree with Zach, do what you believe is best for your aims which is ultimately to get more people invested in the patreon. I do however think that, while tiny, the small image revealed too much. Showing the image, while small, in its entirety degrades from the exclusive aspect of the image's purpose to this patreon. I think that many will agree that they value the content of the image above the actual resolution size of the image.
