Blue Album and Pinkerton are the quintessential college albums for me, they’re a little cringy to go back to now but they sum up the headspace I was in very well

I had never listened to this whole album before. I knew the big hits, and I played Guitar Hero. I really like this album. Even though it's supposed to have some emo vibes, I find the whole thing really fun. In the Garage is one of my favourites for sure. The only real dud is No One Else. I get that the song is a satire, but it's still just a weird vibe. I'd give it 4-4.5. Oh, and Sweet Jane is ok.

This is like the second album I was familiar with before it was featured and I love it! Shawn mentioned Beatles Rock Band on Abbey Road; I still have the muscle memory for Say it Ain't So in Rock Band. It put me on a Weezer kick again, and I Pork and Beans and In the Garage are different versions of the same song.

My first exposure to Weezer was indeed the Blue Album. In fact, the Blue Album (and Clarity by Jimmy Eat World) is one of my earliest memories of music. I have two brothers that are about 10 years older than me, so even as a young kid in the 90's I was exposed to up and coming bands like that. Shawn's story about his daughter made me laugh because I also solidly didn't understand the meaning of the lyrics. Also, I fully thought my brother wrote Bleed American by Jimmy Eat World for a solid while because I heard him playing and singing it on guitar before I'd ever heard the real song.
