Someone probably commented this before, but every, let's say, 25 or 50 episodes, Shawn should listen to some Patreon's pick for record of the week. Of course, as long as it's not on the original list, available on streaming plataforms and not longer than 40 minutes (this wouldn't prevent someone from choosing Luie Luie - Touchy, however :s).

Jennie should just be a permanent cohost at this point. Dude this record was rough to get through for me lmao. This was the first one that felt like homework for me lol sorry Shania heads. 1/5 pieces of vinyl

I was surprised how much of this album was locked away in my memory banks. My mom wore this shit out (which seems to have happened with a few other Soldiers) so it felt like every single track was like "oh fuck, I totally forgot this song" or "oh shit, this is Shania too?" Rock This Country! was my favourite and the only track I've gone back and re-listened to multiple times out of context of a full album, that's not to say it wasn't a good but I don't really need to feel like I'm 3/4 years old ever again. 💿.𝟓/𝟓 I know you're sick of 300s Shawn but I'm fucking begging for a double digit album. At least Wild Honey is only 24 minutes...

As someone who had divorced parents and also had a strange dislike for Shania Twain this episode made me realize I’m in the exact situation as Shawn.

Man I Feel Like a Woman is a classic pop song with some golden one of a kind hooks. Music may very well have peaked in 97 when Shania went "oh oh oh". Rest of the album is decent, pretty strong songwriting throughout. Had an alright time with it. 3/5 for me. Also what the hell, why is Wild Honey so short? You could literally fit this whole thing on the first side of an LP vinyl.

Kakyoin's Cherry

There are some very nostalgic songs for me on this album. I just feel bad this album is about someone who literally cheated on her. Like honestly so sad. But this album is like a 2.5/5 for me.

The B52's also had a decent hit with the song "Roam" off the album Cosmic Thing. "Fun" story about the B52's, I saw them at the Del Mar Fair on the same day that Michael Jackson died. During "Rock Lobster" the crowd started going nuts, as you would expect, but our seats were on an overhang, so when people started dancing and jumping they made the whole thing bounce up and down and I thought I was going to die. In that moment I was like, "Well, I guess if I'm gonna die it might as well be on the same day as Michael Jackson"; I lived, obviously.

We really need a new list lol every album here is kinda hard to get through. I would suggest Shawn check out the channel Turning The Tables. They’ve blown up recently and I rly love their content so when this show was announced I was ecstatic but this top 100 album list is just so devoid of fun things to listen to I haven’t revisited these videos anymore :( and Shawn is main guy to me

as a fellow Wife Guy it's always so sweet to see Shawn in husband mode

Shawn I love this series! I do agree with everyone else about perhaps a different list though! Do you think maybe we could make like a viewers choice list? I think everyone would really like that! If not that is okay I will still listen along and keep watching!

“1,001 Albums” has its flaws, but is a much more respectable list than Rolling Stone’s. There’s a lot of jazz and multiple Sinatra albums though, the list being twice as long means it’s less focused. Rolling Stone’s list is populist and has controversial picks alongside the obvious classics, which imo suits the show’s needs better.

The two anthologies have been my only gripes with the list so far. I mean, I wouldn't personally put a lot of these albums in my top 500, but they've all been fun to check out and I probably wouldn't have, had it not been for this show. The less exciting albums often make for interesting conversation. Also, guest episodes have been my favorite. Having someone to talk to really elevates the show. Excited for next episode!
