Content

Just a quick content warning: This episode has a LOT of discussion of sexual assault and stuff of that nature (since that's what the whole movie revolves around). If you're not feeling that, maybe check out another (more fun) episode!

There were many conversations about The Last Duel- much of it about its subject matter, but also a lot about its spectacular theatrical flop. Let's find out what all the discussion is really all about as we watch this Ridley Scott medieval flick from last year!

Next week's movie is MIRACLE (2004).

I could tell derrick was a bit fatigued last episode and I hope he gets a good break in and still enjoys doing movie club. If it means anything, I think I almost look forward to these more than the main podcast, really gives me second hand enjoyment seeing people discuss what they thought of a movie together. Keep up the great work!

Loved this film, had me along for most of the way but the duel was really climactic

loved the movie discussion but honestly really enjoyed the glimpse into your perspectives of living life at the onset of the pandemic. such a weird bizarro time for everyone and always fascinated by the different 'where were you' reactions to it.

I really love this movie. Seeing it in a theater, the action itself was so brutal and you could catch the subtle differences in the acting between perspectives. One of my favorites of last year for sure.

The Last Duel scene had me on the edge of my seat. Didn't know who was going to give the killing blow. Also Medieval times was gruesome, the time period not the themed dining place near Knott's.

the final fight is probably the best fight scene I have ever seen, it tops gladiator's fights imo
