Saw this in a packed theater a few months before the pandemic and it was incredible. The comedy scenes definitely hit better with an audience. As for the slasher scene, that guy is shown at the raid at the beginning of the movie, so the first time his mask comes off you’re supposed to realize that’s who it is, but not everyone catches that immediately. Glad y’all enjoyed it though and I hope you watch more! There are many gems to be found in Jackie’s career from the 70s and 80s before he made the jump over to America.

Been a fan of Jackie Chan and this movie for a long time and was very excited when I heard you guys would be watching it for movie club! I had a strong feeling that Derrick would really like it and Jackie in general. I know you guys do the picking but I would love to hear what you guys think about some John Woo classics like Hard-Boiled or Bullet in the Head. He made some incredible action-crime movies in China at one point and introduced gun fu to movies. He's a very influential filmmaker and I think Derrick and Rocco would really appreciate some of his work. Anyway, thanks for another great one you guys!

I feel like the final verdict was to not have the half point but Rocco if you happen to see this could you clarify the score for the letterboxd list? https://letterboxd.com/fromaginator/list/mega64-movie-club/detail/

Amazing review as always. The opening scene is something everyone should watch once in their lifetime!

I'll second what someone else recommended, please check out some John Woo films, particularly Hard Boiled.

Jackie Chan is a LEGEND! So glad you guys saw this. I hope you guys check out more Jackie Chan movies because I would love to hear what you guys think about some of them. If any of you guys read this, please check out his movie called Miracles. It's another JC directed movie. I think Rocco would be super into it because it's a period piece. It's Jackie Chan at his most "Buster Keaton" performance. The story is also just as good as the action, I think!

Masterpiece. Jackie was the true successor to Buster Keaton.

Criterion did a great job putting back the original audio, I love those 60's-70's ass gun sounds

Police Story 2 is not as good as 1 but its still worth a watch. The stunts are just as good imo

I grew up with Rumble in the Bronx on repeat. Always love Jackie’s ethic.
