Okay, so this Michel Gondry movie (starring Jack Black and Mos Def) came out in 2008, but we had kinda mixed feelings on it. But there's no denying it had a lasting impression on our creative lives since then. Will we find a new connection to it all these years later?

Next week's episode is JUPITER ASCENDING.

I remember thinking this movie was going to be great then left the theatre thinking “...how were the people outside of the building able to hear the movie”

You guys should definitely check out phantom of the paradise! It’s a fun 70’s somewhat rock opera black comedy with tinges of horror. With music from the masterful Paul Williams.

So this movie i remember fondly when it came out. The robocop bit sold me.. but then you watch the movie and its like 30 seconds of screen time. The ghost busters theme was great too. Also ended up finding a disposable DVD of it, it was a 48hr instant DVD so you crack the seal and have 2 days to watch it before you can no longer watch it. Which was kinda mind blowing.

Anton Corbijn also made a few films, including the Ian Curtis biopic Control, and The American, starring George Clooney. He might have also made Phillip Seymor Hoffman's last, or one of his last, movies.
