Because of our big stream we did this past weekend, we've had to push our Movie Club and Friendimension episodes. They'll be coming later, but we wanted to give you something fun in their place for now. This is a fairly lengthy behind the scenes bit for a video you've likely never seen. We've been meaning to dig this up for a while over the past year, not only because it's fun, but because it reminds us of hanging out with friends, going places... and seeing each others' unobstructed faces. All the things we haven't had in so long. We need stuff like this now more than ever.

In 2017, there was a sudden explosion in the popularity of "fidget spinners." We looked up videos of them online, and couldn't believe how hostile the comments got on some of the videos these poor kids made. It was just savage. At the same time, there were lots of gaming news stories about "influencers" happening that seemed pretty nuts. We thought we would do kind of an avant-garde video that was simply a shot of fidget spinners with real comments scrolling by next to them. But to do this, first we would need the key prop... actual fidget spinners. We took a trip to the mall to get some, most of us having never used them before in our lives. This video is the entire chronicle of getting them and filming the video... which, upon edits, reflection, additional shoots, and headaches, was determined to not make much sense and got sent to the scrap heap.

Oh, wow. Reference to the Prey review scandal. This is 2017 in so many ways, it's great.
