With only MINUTES of Christmas left here in California, we had to get you one last treat before the day concluded. Because of safety and testing issues (which we'll talk about more on this weekend's Mega64antine episode), we weren't able to do our Love, Actually Movie Club episode before Christmas (lame, right?). It's still coming up, but along with this Friday's Version 2 episode remaster, it's pushed back a bit. We're sorry about this and will keep you updated on when they'll be ready. But we knew we needed to give you some good stuff to hold you over until then. Let us open the vault to reveal... the UNRELEASED Mega64 HoloLens video...

In 2016, we made a deal with Microsoft to product several videos using only the HoloLens and its filmmaking tools within. With the new (and at the time, fairly limited) technology, we struggled a lot with the restrictions. We tried to think... what could we do with AR holograms that we couldn't really do in any other kind of video? Then it hit us- if we had a hologram of a celebrity, we could finally meet them and tell them whatever we've always wanted! Fortunately, the HoloLens marketplace had downloadable holograms of George Takei, everyone's favorite source of Facebook fluff posts. We gave him a piece of our mind... for an extended amount of time. Seriously- you wouldn't believe how LONG it took to make this video. The tools were just a little too limited and too slow for our own creative processes. So you can imagine our feelings when we turned this in and it was rejected for being too hateful. From that point on, mentally broken, our focus became goats.

Stay tuned... there is another...

I loved the goat series. Had real bossfish vibes.

Someone at Microsoft got fired from this. I truly believe that.
