This movie will always be special for me because I saw it with my dad at a younger age where I was starting to get into more serious movies. I also saw it when they put it back in theaters recently and still really enjoy it! Though some of the dialogue can be really cheesy and I still don't like the rat scene. Knowing about the behind the scenes as an adult makes it a bit of a weird watch for me now too. Especially as a big fan of Cameron's movies. Despite all that though, the production is still great and all the underwater work is impressive. The aliens still look dope. Cofi is a good villain and I really like the knife fight and the scenes leading up to it. Just hearing Rocco explain to Shawn the scene where the aliens talk to Bud about why they've been causing storms and threating humanity with tsunamis reminded me of how moving that scene is. I love the overall message of this movie and I'm really sad Shawn saw the shorter version. That's always my biggest worry with people going into this one. But I'm really glad y'all decided to do this one regardless! I'm looking forward to the Reservoir Dogs episode next week!! Keep up the great work! 🙂
