HAPPY 2023!!!

IMPORTANT TLDR INFO: In 2023, the ThreatWire Patreon perks and rewards will be merged / migrated to the Morse Code Patreon page. You can sign up now at https://www.patreon.com/ShannonMorse to get all the same perks plus many more new rewards!

If you watch my Morse Code channel, I posted a fairly transparent video about how I experienced burnout and a lot of mental health issues through 2022. It was a major struggle to get through last year and because of that I'm making my health and workload a top priority this year.

In 2023, one of my major investments will be finding ways to remove duplicate tasks to make my job more efficient. Since I run two Patreon pages with similar perks, that means I'm often double posting so everyone has access to the same information.

One of those that I've been considering for many months is merging my two patreon pages. My primary Patreon page is https://www.patreon.com/ShannonMorse and this will become my only Patreon page later this year. This move will merge all of the current ThreatWire perks to my Morse Code page. Some of you pledge on both pages, so this means you'll only have ONE pledge but still have access to the same perks. Some of you pledge on just the ThreatWire page, so moving to the Morse Code page means you'll get the same perks, with the added benefit of even more perks and rewards that were only available on that page. My Morse Code patrons will also see an influx in rewards and perks. So basically, this is a 2-for-1 deal - you get perks from both shows / channels for the same tier prices, sometimes less.

Some perks on the ThreatWire page have also been added to a cheaper tier on the Morse Code page, so moving also offers the benefit that you'll get access to the same goodies but for a lower price!

I'm not including any dates or timelines on this merger because it really depends on how quickly folks decide to migrate to the primary page. Patreon is one of my main platforms for income, so I need to wait until enough folks switch over to determine when I can also fully switch over to the Morse Code page.

Nothing is changing with the show: it'll continue to post each week and you'll continue to receive the same perks associated with ThreatWire as usual!

In other news:

* Old / Unused perks have been retired from the page. If a perk hasn't been used in the past 6 months, it was removed from the tier.

* Removed VIP in person meetups. Unfortunately an uncomfortable situation at DEF CON made me realize my safety should be a top priority, so I won't be offering private meetups in the future.

* If you want to support my shows outside of Patreon, I've also started a BuyMeACoffee page and a Youtube Membership Subscription (perks vary). Links:

Thank you for your ongoing support, and I hope you enjoy all the new perks you'll get from the Morse Code page!

To be honest, I was surprised you offered the in-person meetup to begin with. I liked that it felt optimistic-- and thought I might even hope to catch you at Def Con or something some day-- but my own cynical self felt pretty certain it would go away due to some jerk at some point. I'm sorry you dealt with whatever it was on top of any stress you were/are already carrying. I wish I could make it to more of the group discussions, but I do find everything you do extremely valuable and hope you can keep doing it for as long as you can.

Hi Shannon, sorry, I'm not clear whether you want us to switch over to your main page now, or wait until the merger. I want to continue to support your Treat Wire work, so what would you prefer?

Ugh, it's Allways that one person has to ruin everything...

I'll still be doing group meetups or attending events and letting folks know when we can hang out! I won't be doing any private meetups though. Future ones will be coordinated with the other Hak5 hosts or other creators.

I recommend switching over now. I'll be posting the early access content, audio feed, and all the other perks on the new page :)

I know! Like DJ said, I was really optimistic and most people tbh are totally cool in person, but some people overstep boundaries that they should respect.
