A security researcher was able to use the functionality of Telegram's "People Nearby" feature to geolocate another user based on triangulation. This is more serious on Android devices than iOS, and the feature isn't enabled by default. If you do have it turned on, you can mitigate this by disabling People Nearby or switching to another messaging app (like Signal!).
