I would like to add the following <a href="https://youtu.be/U3EEmVfbKNs" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">https://youtu.be/U3EEmVfbKNs</a> and for being a customer of 23andme for many years I can tell you that the consent is opt out by default and that you actively have to agree to it for it to be shared. But to me that's worth it if it helps find new medecine.

I'm going to have to echo what Rafael said. When I first signed up for 23andMe I had to explicitly give my consent for them to share my data. It is NOT an automatic "user must opt out" thing. And yes, as a matter of fact I did read the entire agreement. I also read software licenses when I install programs :)
