Help me reach my monthly goal! (Patreon)
Content
April is here, the sun is shining, and the flowers are blooming... and I'm excited to get some work done!!!
You've probably noticed that some Patreon creators have hidden their Patron count or their monetary amount. Patreon made this an option for Creators a few months ago and lots of creators decided to hide that info. Well, I'm not going to do that. I think it's completely fair for y'all to see exactly where the Patreon amounts are going and how much we are growing each month. That's why I created a pie graph on the main page that shows how the contributions are split up, with taxes and fees of course being the biggest percentage. I think it's important that my patrons know what they are contributing towards, whether that's hiring an editor or building a new set. I value your trust in ThreatWire, and I value your input on the show.
In order for us to grow the show, from doing two shows per week to live streaming the episode shoot to potentially doing more meetups and maybe even bringing in reoccurring guests, we need to grow the Patreon, since that's our only source of income for ThreatWire (Hak5 is considered a separate account, since that show has advertisers).
So I'm introducing monthly goals! This month, I am hoping to get us up to 850 Patrons of ThreatWire. We're currently at a little less than 800. Whether someone wants to contribute a dollar or five dollars, they'll still get access to this Patreon page, the audio RSS feed, behind the scenes pics, early episode topics, show polls, and a community contribution shoutout if you share a news story.
How you can help!
Tweet about ThreatWire! Chat about it with friends! Share the show on Facebook (if you still have an account lulz). Getting the word out to folks who haven't heard about ThreatWire yet is a great way to grow the Patreon, and it helps us get to our next goals quicker, which is mutually beneficial for you and me! You'll get more content, plus even more bonus material!
Thank you all for your support! You make ThreatWire possible! :D
