There are some pretty powerful stuff in this one I think, but again I'll have to create some videos to explain them :) Reach out if you need help!

Time offset

This feature allows you to define an offset for an animation; same-name animations will run with a different starting time, when playing, scrubbing, or sequencing. For example, if you want to have the hip and head run on perfect timing, and then tweak the head to have a slight delay, you can change the Time offset field in the Sequence tab. You can change it in real time. I'll post a video on Twitter soon-ish that shows an example of how it can be used.

Layer focus

This is only available with Keybindings for now, when you play or scrub an animation, all other animations will also play/scrub. Most of the time, this is what you want, but sometimes it also makes it hard to see what you're doing (e.g. heavy movements on other controls). The binding is called "Timeline.ToggleFocusOnLayer".

UI improvements and features

  • Create animation on all layers at once
  • Create all animations from the current layer when creating a new layer
  • When creating new animations in a group, if it wasn't yet created on this layer, automatically suggest the next name in that group
  • Add missing fields when copying animation settings (weight, randomize fields)
  • Improve the Create animation UI (toggles instead of buttons)

Other changes

  • When using segments, scrubbing will scrub all layers even if they don't share the same name (behavior similar to animation sets, only does this when using segments)
  • Fix Play All not always playing the current animation (e.g. if a layer A, B has Anim/1 and layer C has Anim/1 and Anim/2, layer C would play Anim/1)
  • When playing a segment, other atoms will also start playing all animation sof same-name segments
  • Fix triggers being called slightly earlier breaking some published scenes
