Hey there!

It's going to be a busy day for me today. New episode (110), travels, and a too-long list of things I need to get done. But todays is also a special day, and I wanted to share that with you here.

Today, Lore turned FOUR!

It was literally March 18th of 2015 when I uploaded the first episode audio file and *very* nervously clicked the "Publish" button. I didn't think it would work (the podcast, not the button), and assumed my amateur voice and hacked-together audio production would turn off everyone who listened to the show. And honestly, getting only 9 downloads on the first day sort of confirmed that.

Clearly I was wrong to listen to that inner voice. Four years later, I can see what a lie it was. There was a lot of learning and growing to do, for sure, but I can tell you with 100% confidence right now that the best thing I could have done is clicked that button. And because I know a lot of you are creative people who have passion projects of your own, I wanted to make this about you, and not me.

Click "Publish" today. Don't wait. Don't stall. Don't believe the voice in your head that tells you no one will care or watch or listen or read. Ignore the voice, take a deep breath, and put your art out there. Art is a lot like a  plant—if you really want it to grow and thrive, it needs to be outside and exposed to the elements. Because it turns out that some of those elements are absolutely essential for its success.

So yes, cheer that Lore has continued to cruise along after four amazing years. But don't forget the risk and fear I had to face down to make it happen...and how you can overcome that too. I really do believe in you.

Go ahead. Click "Publish". I dare ya.

Warmly,

Aaron @ Lore

A very happy belated birthday to Lore! I've lured family and friends into the world of Lore and they all love it all as much as I do! And thank you for your inspirational words. Sometimes we all need that reminder. Kudos and congratulations to you! Looking forward to seeing you in Boston in November!!!!
