4k Words!

Just barely, but look, the count does not lie. What a wonderful end of the week this is! Especially since I couldn't write a single word yesterday (´༎ຶ ͜ʖ ༎ຶ ). My Thursday was full of meetings and house chores and it left me no energy to type away at the computer.

But, even so, the November challenge is well underway. Since the 1st of the month, I've written 10.981k words! That 50k mark is looking less and less daunting.

Wednesday, however, wasn't spent on the game but on writing Patreon content for this month. That I am very proud of. 😋 I also commissioned a lovely artist, which is always exciting. All in all, this week has been a breath of fresh air.

Now, to the point: Yes, these 4k words were typed for the game, and my fingers were soaring on the keyboard! I didn't hit the previous goal — not done with this chapter yet — but then again, the chapter grew a little with my latest expansions. Nevertheless, with each choice written, so do I come closer and closer. The good thing about writing is that anything, literally a comma, brings you one step closer to completion.

Isn't that a comforting thought?

Tomorrow is usually my rest day, but to keep in the spirit of NaNoWriMo, I want to finish a set of choices that I wasn't able to today. Plus, I want to edit the Patreon stories I wrote on Wednesday. It probably won't add a lot of words to my counter, but it's work I need to do anyway.

Sunday, however, I intend to return with full steam! The goal is to write every single day and be done or very close to finishing the chapter.

How's November been treating you? Here the days are either rainy or shining bright with a sun that doesn't warm as much as it used to. Either way, the leaves turn yellow and brown, and Autumn seems to be settling in with every spare inch of damp earth. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for Christmas, so I've been counting the days until December.

But one must learn to enjoy the present. That's what I wish for you this upcoming weekend. Rest and lounge about but also enjoy life a little bit.
