27th of May.

Seven more days have gone by, and May is coming to a gentle end. This week has been all about Book 2! I wrote in every free time that I had, and that list I showed you last week is almost— almost!— done. The dialogue has been a delight, as always, and I'm honestly finding new sides of not only Hadrian but the MC as well. New lights on how they communicate and understand each other.

It's very challenging, going back and writing a different path to the one I had first envisioned, but it's so fun too to imagine how would he and you react to this set of circumstances. It makes me think deeper about the character, which sometimes makes the writing seem stalled— because I'm not writing as many words per hour— but numbers can be so deceitful. It may take me longer, but that doesn't mean progress is less. It simply is more challenging, therefore, my fingers aren't flying all over the keyboard. 😄

The goal for next week is to keep this momentum going. Hopefully, be done with the friend and rival part of the conversation.

This will also be the last progress report before Book One publishes. If it all goes well, which I really hope it does. I am... so nervous. 😩 So, so nervous. But also extremely excited! But then, nervous again, and dreading... and back to enthusiastic xD It's been a roller coaster, and we're still some days away.

In any case, it will be the culmination of a lot of work. So, no matter what happens, one way or another, it will feel good. It'll feel worth it.

That's it! I know this week's report is a bit vague, but that's because I can't spoil what I'm writing! Hopefully, after Book One's release, I can finally start to be a little more open about what I'm doing but for now, I have to keep my lips sealed as much as I can (which, admittedly, isn't much).

I hope this week has treated you all well. I hope the next will treat you even better. And I hope, between now and Monday, that you find the rest required to face it head-on. 🌹
