SAIL - Scriptless Arkham Attack Indicators Lagless

Scriptless animated Arkham visual style attack indicators for magic, ranged, melee.

Clean and color coded, flashes and shakes red on melee hitframe/bow release/magic fire.

Install:

1. Make sure you have SPID and Scrambled Bugs installed and active.  In the json for Scrambled Bugs, make sure "attachHitEffectArt" is set to true, otherwise you won't see the mod working in game.

2. Install, play.

TrueHUD, MCO, Skysa, vanilla compatible.

Want melee indicators to pop up as early as possible before the hitframe? Install Precision supported movesets for NPCs

May have visibility issues with ENBs that have excessive bloom or tonemapping, like PRT X Next Gen Preset which makes all magic effect shaders super faint and hard to see.

Otherwise looks fine with almost all ENBs.

As usual, please let me know if you find bugs! It helps a lot if they're caught before public release.

Minor update v0.3.1 Features

- Attack indicators now only show if enemies are targeting the player, which was honestly something I should've included earlier since it doesn't make sense for npc on npc combat.

- Some multihit and chained attacks weren't registered visually by the melee attack indicator, so the hitframe animation (the flashing red + shake) didn't play at all for that hit. Fixed in this update.

- Mid save update safe.

Now it's just the MCM left before I do the final polish for release. Thanks for the continued support!

Instant CTD inside the ship of DaintySload with this mod enbled. No CTD when disabled it. No .Net log.

Got SPID, got Scrambled Bugs, set "attachHitEffectArt" to true, but still can't get it to display at all. Does this mod not like Attack Behavior Revamp?

ABR might change the attack events. If it does, then it is hard incompatible. I'd check to make sure it's not anything else though since this is the first time I've heard of the error. I would ask botuser but he's currently off doing game dev and has moved away from skyrim

Interesting. Gives me a reason to try out MCO anyway. I'll give MCO a shot and see how it goes.

just an update, switching to MCO didn't fix the issue. when I click an NPC and check in console, the attack indicators are definitely active so I'm not sure what it is. when I have more freetime ill have to go through my modlist and see whats causing it to not show up.

idk if its super relevant anymore but indicators werent appearing in game for me either. Fixed it by installing visual c++ redistributable 2022, didnt realize it existed and scrambled bugs needs it to function, no conflicts with anything i have on either.
