Hello! Don't be scared! I've decided to stop making monthly sketchbooks. I've made them for about four years now, with fluctuating regularity lmao, but it's been a long time since I've made one that felt "organic". When I make these sketchbooks, everything in them is drawn specifically FOR the sketchbook. It eats up the time I could be spending on my work and has made it impossible for me to draw for myself.

So, starting in January (or maybe even later this month, depending on what time allows), I'll be using the Petunia tier for making more detailed process posts for what I'm working on. This includes a whole bunch of things -- talking about writing and research, and sharing thumbnails, concepts and work in progress. That's not as visually engaging, but it's work that I would be doing anyway.

I have two comics planned for 2023 in addition to continuing work on AMPLE. All of these projects explore the medium in different ways, using different materials (both digital and traditional). I also have a non-comic idea I want to chip away at. I've already posted some art related to all of these things in my Petunia sketchbooks, and I'm excited to have more time to devote to actually working on them!

I understand if you want to unsubscribe, process posts are not everyone's jam. Thanks for sticking with me this far. <3

EDIT: realized this language is a little unclear -- the Petunia tier has already been used for process, but I plan to make process posts that are more detailed and more frequent than what I've posted previously, including insights into how I write, something I don't really talk much about.

Sounds great! I've always been curious about your writing process and can't wait to see what the next Petunia post will be! :)
