Petunia Sketchbook May 2023 (Patreon)

Posting pretty early this month since it's going to be a busy one for me! Here are the roughs for the intro pages to my comic, Ample. The story will be divided into two halves -- Part One: Pure & Plentiful and Part Two: Meek & Modest. Some more concept stuff is included at the end of the sketchbook as well. 

I've been working on several different drafts of Ample since last year. Usually when I make a comic, I have a script already written and I don't deviate very far from it with the art itself. But I've decided with Ample I want to just kind of...go for it.

I know basically what I want to happen, I have tons and tons of notes, but I don't have a concrete script and I don't plan to thumbnail everything. I want to see what will happen if I just put word and picture to paper without having already worked out the dialogue and composition ahead of time and without definitively knowing what's going to come next. It's very different from how I'm used to working and I'm excited to see how it goes!

I'll be posting pages here on patreon as I finish them -- on no set schedule, and likely not regularly, since it's my lowest priority in terms of work atm. Finished batches of pages will be uploaded to https://ample.neocities.org/. Site is still under construction! The "about" page will likely still change a little bit before I start posting.
