Solved a nightmare in Blender that's been ruining all my work the last month. I accidentally turned on "Visual Keying" in the Blender settings which sounds like it's a helpful feature. In actuality, it just makes it so all of your new keyframes are completely screwed up.

I know what it actually does but it would take a long time to explain; basically to simplify it, imagine you put a box in one corner of the room, and as soon as you hit play, the box goes to another place in the room, and is rotated halfway in a random direction. That's what I was dealing with the past couple weeks, but just imagine it with body parts. There was a point I was "stuck" and couldn't edit the animation at all anymore, and that point I'm now realizing was when I went snooping in the settings to see what was available.

This was in the way of refining the animation this month which is why it may have seen like there were obvious things I could improve or fix but didn't. I'm so defeated that it was something so simple, and so stupid. But I'm glad it's finally solved and it won't get in the way of the next animation.
