Blender 3.3 has a brand new hair system, and it's been pretty fun learning how to create hair in it. So far I've only been able to make basic straight styles and pubes, but the idea is its compatible with their "Geometry Nodes" which lets 3D artists create their own procedural effects.

This means someday it should also be really easy to make waves, curls, braids, etc.
